How Does It Work?
CBD interacts with the receptors in the endocannabinoid system.
There are two types of receptors: CB1 and CB2.
CB1 receptors are mainly found in the central nervous system, which is associated with memory, appetite, mobility, mood and a variety of other key bodily functions.
CB2 receptors are found throughout the rest of the nervous system in the body, and are linked primarily to pain and inflammation.
In order to be effective CBD has to reach your endocannabinoid system. This means it first needs to be absorbed into your bloodstream, otherwise known as bioavailability.
